Privacy Notice
We try to keep this simple. Here's exactly what data we collect when you use this site, why, and what your rights are.
What we collect
- Contact form: the name, email, and message you submit when you reach out.
- Chat messages: the text you type into our chat widget.
- Pre-order info: handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see your card details.
- Basic site analytics: anonymous, aggregated traffic data — page views, country-level location, browser type. No personally identifying tracking.
How we use it
- To respond to your questions and process orders.
- To improve the product and the site based on common questions.
- To send you a confirmation email when you order, and (with your permission) the occasional product update.
Who else sees it
We work with a few trusted services to run the site. Each handles only the data needed for their job:
- Netlify — hosts the site and stores contact form submissions. Their privacy policy →
- Anthropic (Claude) — powers the chat assistant. Messages are sent to Claude for processing. Their privacy policy →
- Stripe — processes payments. Their privacy policy →
We never sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else.
How long we keep it
- Contact form submissions: 2 years, then deleted.
- Chat messages: not stored on our end. Brief retention by Anthropic per their terms.
- Order data: as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years).
Cookies
We don't use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. If you place an order, we use essential cookies to remember your cart and login session — nothing more.
Your rights
- You can ask us to delete any personal data we have about you.
- You can ask us for a copy of what we have on file.
- You can opt out of marketing emails any time — every email has an unsubscribe link.
- If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR/CCPA. We honor all of them.

Children
Duneshot isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, email us and we'll delete it.
Updates
We'll post a notice on the site if we make material changes to how we handle data. This page will always show the most recent revision date at the top.
